    Handy tool

Glass is great for a model building surface. Flat building surface, artist's pallet, quick color mix, easy to clean, cutting masking tape for masks. Some model kit building plans use symbols for part colors. Having the symbol & paint name on a single page slide it under the glass. Having an old...

    Handy tool

Most times (all) I use a speed way below 35k, I have yet to find a need for that, but not to say I won't in the future. Working on cars you say, I've never found a need for the Dremel. But I do work on & have built 2 cars. Not to bore you, but as they say, pictures or it never happened. 32 truck...

    Handy tool

Could it be what's being, cut, ground, or shaped? For instance, are all your builds plastic or wood, soft material? Hand tightened most likely just fine. Sometimes I've removed the chuck to use a collet. Pep

    Handy tool

I guess you've not used the chuck enough to know that the tool will come loose. If you look closely you will see that chuck on the Deramel, the wrench is a must, for me. BTW Amazon sells a pair for 19 beans. Pep

Have a Dremel tool, how about a never-look-for-chuck wrench? Or flipping it to the correct size to change the tool.

    Plastic Putty

I recently switched to this putty pictured, I like it and yes the clean-up is quick. What I learned let it sit for days, and water cleanes it right up. The question and I know the answer. Before painting, the best practice is to wash ..... soap & water (buzzer sounds!) Thinking 1 thinner wash...

Some recent builds. First post with photos.

I plan to use the DC 3 as a flying detail over the new layout currently in the works. It is strange both are 1/48 but the plane looks huge. But another but, the paratroopers fit the door height of the caboose, go figure! Should be interesting....

    A friend gave me 2 1/48 DC 3 kits

It took 7 minutes to go from this to this a damp cloth was used. As with any filler, it takes a few applications to get it right. Still feel a ridge another coat was applied

    Beware

Well friend let me set the table, I do not buy cheap, a quick example. Purchased the Iwata spray gun to paint a truck I was building, for 600 bucks, so I have a really good idea of what quality is. That said this clown @ Spraygunner declined a return request received HOURS after delivery is...
