Just finished a panzer IV tank. The armor skirting was warped and bent in the box, probably because of the way I had it stored, so I decided to build it without the skirting and I am going to make a base for it. I'm just waiting for the figures to arrive so they can be painted and put on when I build the base.

It is a Monogram 1/32 kit I picked up at Hobby Lobby about 2 years ago.

I love it! I built it when I was a kid, and I still like Monogram's armor kits.
I'm confused by what you said about the figures, though. Do you mean figures other than those that came with the kit?

Yep. I ordered a set of 5 figs. I can't use the ones in the box. One was only halfway molded and the other one is missing his arm.

Interesting; I'd chalk that up to the age of the molds. I never, ever had any such problems with Monogram kits back in the day, pre-merger, when the molds were still relatively new.
Even complete, though, the figures are perhaps not up to today's standards. It's tough to get the same kind of crisp detail with injection-molded styrene that you can get with resin, white medal, or 3D printing. But we used to look at the diorama tips and think, "Let me try that..."

Yeah I figured it was the age of the molds. It is the first time I've seen that in a monogram model as well.
The molding wasn't bad on the parts that I have and I was pleased with it, except the fact they weren't complete. Oh well it happens.

Oh, yeah. That's a kick butt build of that kit.
I really thought that they were going to release more of the series when the Patton and this were released. There were some I'd only ever seen and never built.
Very good.
