Two coats clear with wet sand in between. Probably one more sand and one more clear over the trim.
Come to think of it haven't tried clear lacquer over" liquid chrome" product. Testing get back soon.

Please do. Rumor has it you won't like the results, but, I for one would like to know for certain!
Test complete….I will not be spraying clear over liquid Crome.
Makes Crome look more like aluminum ish.

Did/were you able to fix any of them problems or gonna live with 'em? None stick out, so you musta done a little fixin'? Yeah, the clear over the chrome marker test was scheduled to fail, there have been many different attempts and none work yet.
No not much fixin. Tried on the tailgate where I got a fingerprint. That was when I said "f… it, I can live with it."
All this is building up to me building the Smokey and the bandit truck. To go with my T.A. From a couple builds ago.
This build was me learning how to two-tone a paint job, since the Peterbuilt will be gold and brown.
Gotta do better with the masking so as to not have blow under

Looks very familiar except that I never say the dots. Mines got more letters and instead o "it", I often add "that".
As I said in that thread, you done a fine job on that one too. Smokey and the Bandit is the greatest documentary ever put on film! I own the real deal (white and gold '78), so I got several of the 1/25th myself along with a few of the 1/16th '79 and a 1/8th '79. There never has been a 1977/78 model in 1/16th or 1/8th, so I'll be modifying both the 1/16th and 1/8th from the 1979's they come as to a 1978 to replicate my car.
Now, as I said, I got many of the 1/25th and have always planned to do exactly what you've got planned, so post some pictures and keep me in mind when you find a decal for the side of the trailer.

This is a fantastic build! You did this Truck justice. This is when vehicles were built to last.
Your interior is very well done. I can imagine myself sitting in this truck as it looks like the real thing.
