This 1970 Road Runner kit was an opened one I actually bought just to steal wheels from for another build. Interestingly enough, the steel wheels weren't even correct for 1970. But after checking the box and seeing all the parts preset (with the exception of instructions lol), I thought why not build it?? It's a 2000 release
It was a quick build. I ran into some fitment issues with the tail light panel.
I went through the entire 1970 Plymouth color palette, and picked one of the most uncommon colors offered…Frosted Teal Metallic. Offered only on a few models and only for a few months, and so rare, there's hardly any photos of cars in that exact color are online. Inside was also a factory color. Wheels are courtesy of a 67 Cornet Custom (Foose) kit. I painted the pockets of each spoke black, and did all the mirror chrome in a satin chrome finish
I left out the old decals and built it more like a Plymouth Satellite sleeper instead (which was bare bones version of the flashier Road Runner)
