Decided to start a new thread vs posting in my thread about auto kit quality. This is my first auto build and I was a bit disappointed in the quality of the kit especially for it's scale.
That said, I've learned alot and will continue to make forward progress. I'm happy to say this effort has led me to build a DIY airbrush booth. Not because it's a necessity but because it's a necessity .
Anyway I made some mistakes along the way but still feel it will end up looking good alongside my Michigan ANG F-106 from the same era with complimentary colors.

BTW this is a fictional build, I'm simply trying to enjoy it as I go, so you'll see I've mix-mashed the kit. I liked the Cragar wheels, don't like the drag tires, prefer a clean hood vs scoops, the paint doesn't match butterscotch but it's all good.

Thanks all for the kind words. It was a learning experience for sure. I made mistakes I hope not to make in the future like adding the windshield and glass parts before clearcoating the decals. The molded wiper blades still need to be hand painted and it would be much easier without the glass etc. All that said I'm ready for another. Happy building.
