Boatmans USS NIMITZ CVN 68

AN a shot of her sailing with her front aircraft elevator in down postion as she had 3 working aircraft elevators an one dummuy an that was right in front of the bridge as this was where the main power batt sat an it was big if i remember rightly an the bridel catches on the front of the carrier were metal an spring loaded in case she hit the pond concreat wall she would just bounce off an no damage to the ship 763b5588f771-Copy-2.jpg

What an amazing thing, is this a new Tamiya kit?

Seriously though, you guys are, in my opinion, on another level from people like me gluing retail stuff together and spraying it.

Also, you have chosen about my favorite ship and squadron livery. My Grandmother was born 3 houses down from where Chester was born, and I have some letters written in his own hand.

Letters from Nimitz!?! Wow!!
Would be cool to post pictures of some if it doesn't reveal anything.

Most of them are not handy, but I was in Houston last weekend and got this from my mom like 2 days ago. The paper is thin, and the manual typewriter impressions are clear, as is the fountain-pen signature. Most notable by modern standards is no street, no address, no "zip" code.

Yes I understand it is a public-relations statement, but still cool IMO.

Absolutely superb Chris. LOL! It'd have taken me a year just to build the air wing!
HI Rimmer well it did me also take a yr or more to build the 54 aircraft as some of them were quite complex with engines an nav lights but lovely little kits i really enjoyed building them an they were revel kits
