Did you strip and repaint the chrome? If so what chrome did you use?
BTW. This is looking nice.
So far the chrome parts are off the sprue but the large fuel tanks will need cleaning along the joint line so I will probably have to strip those, assemble them, clean them and then respray in chrome. Pantherman

I had a devil of a job stripping the chrome when I did this kit. The usual bleach just didn't work for me so I hope you have better luck (or better bleach :D)
Put it in to soak Tuesday evening, Wednesday morning it had started to come off, haven't looked since, ill see when I get home from work, fingers crossed.

So ive had the chrome soaking for a couple of days in bleach/water about 50/50 as I had a litre of bleach and there's a lot of chrome!
Seems to be coming off OK but they will need a bit longer, a scrub with an old toothbrush is working wonders too, I think neat bleach would be a lot quicker.a lot of the smaller parts are pretty much chrome free.20241114_173835.jpg20241114_173951.jpg

I've heard that oven cleaner, such as Easy-Off (here the states) can strip chrome off effortlessly.
P.S.
Use outside. The fumes are horrible!

Yes oven cleaner is supposed to be quicker but I'm in no rush, cab interior, engine detailing and chassis painting are all things I can get on with.

I use Super Clean. Soak over night and all chrome was gone.
