    B-25

That looks like an awesome paint job. I paint in the garage and has to be done before 11 am otherwise the sun hits that area and the garage becomes an oven even with the big doors open and fans going, hate Summer! I love Tamiya paints too. They spray out super smooth and cover really well.

Zoukei Mura 1/32 Ki 45Toryu (Nick)

Good call using Evergreen on the knob detailing. I would have done the same. For all round ones thick wood glue works great too. You are doing a fantastic job with this great looking kit. I have the old Nichimo 1/48 kit in the stash that requires a TON of work.

"Century Series" #1 "The Hun" 1/48 from Trumpeter

Partially true. Gauzy Shine Enhancer from AK is the only clear that will not affect the metallic effect that other clears do. The Alclad on my F84 was unaffected.

    I hate dusting

I use those too, they are great time savers. I crank up the ab and use it as a duster on the actual models. Son fantásticos y no problema.

    1/200 USS IOWA

The Iowa came to Port Everglades back in late 1988 during Navy Appreciation Week. I went aboard that huge and powerful battle wagon and was extremely impressed. I also bought the ship's hat. Great looking build.

I’ve built both the Tomcat and old smoky in 1/32 scale as commissions and they are HUGE! Great looking builds.

    USN F14-A 1/72 from Academy

First off, I’m very familiar with model contests. The main thing is to have fun building your model and learn techniques from more experienced modelers. Will be very helpful if the judges leave comments on your entry sheet if improvements are needed. What one judge sees as an issue another may...

Clear coating chrome like Green Stuff Chrome Metal

Some areas needed to be masked for paint so I used the Gauzy over the Extreme Polished Aluminum. It did not alter the metallic effect at all.

Clear coating chrome like Green Stuff Chrome Metal

Gauzy Shine Enhancer is your answer. This stuff sprays out beautifully and will not affect the metallic effect. I love this stuff. https://www.megahobby.com/products/intermediate-gauzy-agent-shine-enhancer-100ml-bottle-ak-interactive.html

    Strange metal paint behavior

I checked all the ones I have and all are enamels. That is really odd about labeling it as a lacquer. I have used this product straight from the bottle over bare plastic and produced the same effect as Alclad so no need for a black undercoat. You can try to lightly sand the bad areas using xtra...

    LM 841 (weathering/Diorama commission work)

Here’s my critique: For the first weathered pictures I thought I was looking at the real thing. Great photography and lighting. Weathering technique is simply outstanding. No doubt a trophy winner if entered in a model show.

WWII Weathering Fallacy or Truth. Accuracy.

Yes agree specially the over shading of panels that look very unrealistic. I prefer marbling to break up the monotone colors.

WWII Weathering Fallacy or Truth. Accuracy.

It’s mostly art and not reality. I see way too much rust, tear and wear on vehicles and aircraft that had either very limited combat time like the He162 Salamander as an example. I once saw on one of the European modeling magazines that was a work of art. The wear, tear and fading effects were...

    Time to build some models...

Welcome to the most relaxing hobby around. I highly recommend to get an air brush, moisture trap and compressor. Shop around and you will see different set ups. This way you can custom mix colors and produce outstanding paint finishes and effects. Go to YouTube and search for the subject. You...

    German 8 Wheeled 233 Build

The whitewash is really cool looking. I built this old 1/35 Tamiya Tiger over 30 years ago and was about to toss it. I experimented with hairspray and white craft paint and was happy with the results.
