1/35 Meng Merkava Mk.4M (with roof slats)

I think so? I've seen many pictures where the troops had them bent over and sorta tied together. I confess I do not understand the details of that . It is large by WWII standards, but small compared to many modern MBTs. I put it in the cabinet next to a M5 Stuart and you'd swear they were...

Anyone using a vinyl or frisket cutter here?

Yes that is what I meant, but I left way too much detail out. I only use such a thin solution in final weathering, some modest post-shading of various colors and of course rust/exhaust/oil/hydraulic/gunsmoke stains and stuff like that mean to be mostly transparent. For a base color coat I am...

1/35 Meng Merkava Mk.4M (with roof slats)

You ask and I deliver! (almost 6 months late) Calling this one done, need to clear the list of nearly done items because I REALLY want to open a new kit!

Anyone using a vinyl or frisket cutter here?

I ordered the Cricut and some vinyl reported to be super-thin. Will probably take a bit to get the software setup and a drawing created.

I thought it was the same thing, just dropping the Hobby part. Mr. Hobby Aqueous is not the same s Mr. Aqueous? I also thought Gunze Aqueous was the same as those two. This stuff is getting out of control!

    Tamed Panther: “Cuckoo”

I am pretty sure that is a yes. I see the Easy Eight listed there, my kit came with those so it was not an add-on. Definitely laborious, but wondering if they have the glue issue with the pins getting glued or was that the Panther tracks issue only. I did break-bags and took a look at the...

I would not want to meet any of those dudes in an alley, at least without a belt-fed weapon.

Mr. Color Levelling Thinner. I've used alcohol (90+%) when I do super-light (80-20%) mixes, used X20A (?) until the bottle ran out, but sorta settled on the MLT. I do think part of my problem is the thin coats, but it lays so nice!

    Controlling the point of view

People died. No, I am not kidding. It made major news at the time, but sometimes people like to shat on Texas/Texans, we consider typically that a combination of jealousy and praise, but this time I think some of the detractors are right. We were caught with our pants down...

Looking for advice - "Black" subject matter and dark-blue polishable paint

So I am making an X-15. Have had it painted with Surfacer-1500 (black) but have been afraid to put any color on it yet. Been watching footage where I can, and lots of still shots. The surface is a strange metallic mixture of black/blue/metal/gray/silver and a bit of everything. My thought is...

Hey man, when crazy people start making aircraft in 1/35, why not armor and figures in 1/32. Seemed legit when I read that :-)

    Controlling the point of view

We had record snowfall, as in "ever", just a few years ago. The cities and much of the State shut down, no way to clear roads, but then the electricity was out for millions of people. We were lucky and kept power during the 5-day storm, because my residence is on a hospital grid. I even had...
