    box art hoarders?

Roger Dean and Gerald Scarfe, both were fantastic! I have started cutting off the box-tops since returning to the hobby too. Sort of a trophy, but mostly just for memories.

thinning tamiya bottle paints for airbrushing

I do the same for general spraying, the XF colors can result in a rough texture when using X-20A, but there's something about the "leveling" chemistry of MLT that results in a smoother surface. I will use 91% or 99% Isopropyl in the airbrush for specific things. Most common use is in...

    Opinion

I've only built one Hobby Boss kit, ever. The overall fit was good and surface detail outstanding. But many details were left out entirely, like the side panels of the cockpit. My issue with Hasegawa kits (only built three in the last 1.5 years) is that they have a lot (relative term) of really...

SMA What's New In Your Stash?!?

These came in today. The J20 will complete my collection of F-22/F-35/Su-57, and the toon-tiger2 was just too cute to ignore on sale.

    Battleship Missouri

I came across this picture of Big Mo from WWII today, one I had not seen before... That is a cowl mounted MG from a Zero-Kamikaze stuck on the 40mm (?) AAA. Photo taken from one of my favorite bloggers...

Can you make a tank disappear? The Evolution of Tank Camouflage

I'm no expert but all MBTs would make terrible mobile artillery wouldn't they? Other than missiles what BVR capability do they possess? Even retrofitting them for the role might be impossible, their guns can only elevate a small amount compared to actual mobile artillery.

    Trumpeter 1/48 Cessna A-37B Dragonfly

Apologies, I meant Steve Ski, it looks like a personal/private photo. So if the source wishes to remain anonymous, I get it.

Not worried about dying, just unable to determine if I can retire today or not. :)

Kotare 1/32 Spitfire Va as flown by Douglas Bader

Saving that walkway sticker was the point where I quit for the day. Cannot work while frustrated. But I was considering stopping soon before it went sideways, based on the stencil sheet. It is nowhere near F-4 Phantom II levels, but I've never seen such as this on a WWII aircraft...

"Century Series" #1 "The Hun" 1/48 from Trumpeter

One reason I left all the danger/caution stickers off of that section. I looked at tons of photos and there's no sign of the red walk-lines on the wings, or the red stripes where the rear fuselage separates for maintenance. The last picture (above) that Jakko posted shows them clearly, and most...

The touch up on that tail was cake of course, and I decided to quickly clear the whole thing before anything went wrong. Because of that I took no pictures, and yesterday started a sticker-session. They are from Cartograph, and slightly on the thick side which I appreciate as long as they...

Best brand to keep the model from rusting ;-) Love the build! Any fitment issues? The brand has a notorious reputation.
