Canadian ban on Tamiya spray paints?

While I don't own a AB and have never used one, what about thinning down Acrylic Tamiya and spraying it through a Preval sprayer?

Canadian ban on Tamiya spray paints?

While I dress for painting, I would still like to know the triggering chemical for issuing the ban regardless. There's already a CA Prop 65 sticker on the top of the spray bottle I bought this past weekend.

Canadian ban on Tamiya spray paints?

After checking several model sites, it indeed appears to be true.

Canadian ban on Tamiya spray paints?

Just saw something on YT about a Canadian ban on Tamiya spray paints. Anyone have information on this? From what I understand, it either health or environmental.

SMA What's New In Your Stash?!?

I'm not a Collector so they will get built. I'm just finishing another Inpact kit and was surprised by the quality and fit for a 1967-68 kit. I've seen a lot worse. The worse thing is the decals are typically not usable due to yellowing and age. The Big T kit was something I use to look at in...

How do you know what paint to use on my model

Occasionally the outer box will provide a color chart and/or the instructions will provide this, sometimes in detail and sometime more or less a list. I admit, I'm more of "vague" painter, If I like another color better and feel it will work well, I'll use it. Or I'll mix up something that works...

Thanks for the lead, neat looking kit although appears it's somewhat static minus engine and trans as far as I can tell.

    Tamiya paint retarded

As I mentioned, it seems color plays a role in thickness and smooth brush application. I'm certainly no expert, my success has more to do with the planets lining up and how much coffee I've had. I do feel the old Testors Model Master Acrylics seemed to work better for me and I never thinned those.

    Tweezers with rubber tips

Perhaps dipping them in Plasti-dip, allow to drain off well or I think you can thin it to produce a thinner coating.

    Tamiya paint retarded

The alcohol certainly explains the accelerated drying time. Regarding thickness, opacity is my guess although the paint does seems to fill the brush and flow out differently depending on color. Isn't propylene glycol a ingredient for Anti-freeze? Thanks for the information. G.

    Tamiya paint retarded

While I know this is a older thread, I thought I'd add, I've had some issues with Tamiya Acrylic when brush painting. It initially seems OK in consistency, that said, It seems to want to dry very quickly, leaving brush marks unless I finish fast. What's strange is color seems to affect the end...

    bubbles in paint

Seems rather thick, was the paint older? Perhaps a drop or two of thinner might help. I don't really see bubbling although if it's there, perhaps it's due to out gassing due to a chemical reaction.
