I lived in the country and was given a second hand one. The banana seat lasted about two days and after a week, the front handle bars were stripped and the bearings were knocked out of the front wheel. The bike got transformed into a BMX style.
I have put rivets on 1/8th RC models and even at that scale, it was tedious and hard. 1/32 looks even more challenging. It will look dashing in the end though and be worth the time and effort.

I built that kit as a kid on my bedroom floor in about an hour. Everything fit good. Worn out molds and using cheap and inferior plastic material looks to have made this kit almost un-buildable.
With so many pillars for support, they can make the diameter of the contact segment between the pillar and the part much smaller and it wont' leave such a large goose pimple or make it so hard to remove.
You shouldn't have to apply so much heat to remove the supports. You could risk removing...
