What was your car growing up (high school car)

67 Cougar is my dream car, in a metallic turquoise. I'm more into motorcycles though these days... My high school car was a 77' Mustang II and a 80' Thunderbird with T-tops.

SMA What's New In Your Stash?!?

For every one kit I finish, there are 2 to take it's place it seems like. Working on the 1701-C at the moment, and the 1701-E right behind it. Was on the waiting list for the D and had to order that today since it's now available again. In between I might finish my Takom Panther-A. In the...

    What are your other hobbies?

Thanks! I've been making knives for about 2 years. I don't have a forge or anything, I just get blade blanks and put them together with scales, G-10 liners, etc. It's fun, like a model kit but a little different.

    Das Werk 1/16 StugIII

I'd say it is if you like to super-detail or super-weather and if you feel like the money is worth it. Also if you have space for it. If you like to chip the paint, you can have a looooong field day with a model this size.

    Amusing Hobby Abrams-X

The Abrams X is basically a technology demonstrator/prototype for a quasi all new version of the tank. https://taskandpurpose.com/news/abramsx-tank-army/ I'm the same way with tracks that you really have to build up. Either a few links per day, or I put on my headphones and some music and just...

    Amusing Hobby Abrams-X

I just finished the Abrams-X tech demonstrator this morning. It's a fantastic kit EXCEPT for the tracks. The tracks are needlessly complicated, fiddly, fragile, and would test one's patience to the nth degree. I tried to substitute other tracks like Def Model, Trumpeter, Bronco and AFV Club, but...

    1/48 P-47D Rozzie Geth II

I hadn't built an airplane in decades, I do love the Thunderbolt though, This is the Tamiya variety which is an amazing kit. I used Zotz decals to model Rozzie Geth II. My static grass applicatior was giving me fits and nearly electrocuted me in the grass process, so it's kinda flat. The idea...

    Trumpeter E-75

I built the Trumpeter E-75 Standardpanzer about 6 months ago. I used aftermarket barrel and metal tracks I found on ebay because the kit tracks and barrel are no bueno. I originally wanted to put it in a Berlin what-if 1946 dio but moved on to other projects. It's an okay kit....the suspension...

    Das Werk 1/16 StugIII

Gentlemen, I am back with a few new completed projects. I finished my Stug in last winter. I used pre-assembled winterketten tracks from Motion R/C which are awesome. It's a 2 tone brown camo with winter whitewash.

    Tamiya Stug IV

I found the Masterbox figures a mixed bag. The uniforms/bodies had pretty good detail, but the faces were a bit soft, and tough to hone in on the details of their faces and hair. I realize that I also forgot to paint the chin strap on the helmeted guy with the MP40.

    Tamiya Stug IV

Making progress. Somehow I lost the MP40 for the figure that is pointing. Fortunately I found some binoculars that I can use if I don't find the darn thing. The faces and uniforms need a bit more detailing, and then it's just unifiying the tank and the surrounding groundwork a bit more How...
