    AEP 1980’s BAOR

So cool! I have an Austin K2/Y Ambulance in my stash, after seeing your work, it has definitely moved up the ranking scale for 'sooner than later'! Hat's off!

    Bolt Action 14th Army

Very Nice! I have to agree, the internet and the used book section at the hobby store make for amazing learning and discovery! So many stories... from the design and fielding of the vehicles to the regimental accomplishments and personal tragedies. Neat to see many of the vehicles I'm...

    Pick up that brush, repeat

Think I'll have learned anything by the time I get through this flash mob? Either they are line dancing, or door crashing a Black Friday Sale at the hobby store! I wasn't kidding about being on an Italian binge! Okay, I can't possibly use all of them, but the experience I gain will be worth...

Forgotten Warhorse , high speed tractor.

Very cool! I very much like the idea of capturing the 'unsung' work-a-day heroes. And so often they did their jobs with bullets whistling overhead, and ordnance dropping from the sky... We complain we get too many emails!

    Another Carro Armato

Hey! My first tank, completed this fall. The Tamiya Carro Armato M13/40 As mentioned elsewhere, I've mostly been working on the WW2 softskin vehicles seen in North Africa. I have built some tracked vehicles, but this was my first full on TANK. (full disclaimer: as part of my Italian craze, I...

    Theodolite-a-hoo

Hey! Just what you want from Santa: a theodolite! Mentioned this scratch-built gizmo to OldManModeller... I hope this is the right place to show it, I know it is not a diorama, but it could very well live in one, it tells a story. I don't build dioramas, but like to accessorize, too much fun...

Did this happen? LRDG 15 CWT W/ Breda

Great build! Photo setting really sets the mood! Yup, at around the same I got enthralled (obsessed) with the LRDG and R.A. Bagnold, including his early exploits proving the feasibility of motorized travel in the deep desert... no small feat when you consider he did it 20 years earlier by Model...

Moosevf32 has an infliction- can't stop buying even after 60 yrs..........

Welcome, eh?! Talk about yer afflictions... check out my collection of fuel and water cans! This is an older photo when I lined them all up... there are many more since (sigh) The good news is that whenever I need to accessorize, there is a good chance I have just the ticket, ready to go! I now...

    Colonial troops

Hey all. My main focus is vehicles from all sides used in North Africa WW2 campaigns... but for every vehicle, it seems there is a figure, or 2, or 3! Recently, I've been on an Italian kick: and I thought Brits had reputation for eccentric vehicles! This fella has helped me work on...

    Tamiya 1/35 Ford GPA

Nice! I have one in my stash as well, when I found out that the GPA met my selection criteria of service in North Africa! It will be a while before I get to it, but I am impressed with your build!

    Glad I found this place!

Yup, what they all said! I think I was the new guy for all of about 10 seconds!

    Back after over 60 yrs.

How are ya, eh? Welcome! I'm also recently retired, and though my focus is more on vehicles of all stripes used in ww2 North Africa, I was not expecting to find so many vehicles built in Canada, like the Chevy trucks of the LRDG, or all the CMP variants in British service. Cheers!

Good Resource on Working with Photo Etch ( Downloadable )

Awesome! If it shows me how to shrink my fingers to hold those teeny tiny bits I'll be even happier!
