First Model - Mk. A Whippet - Suggestions Appreciated

Thanks! You should. It’s the Meng kit and I’d recommend it to anyone. My first armor build so, grains of salt and all, but quality seems high. It’s been a pleasure.

I agree - thought they painted very well. No brushmarks; paint leveled nicely. Acrylics too, so easy to blend and glaze colors. They seem awfully thick for “airbrush ready.” I know they’re supposed to be. I haven’t tried them through the airbrush though. Maybe they’re great for that too.

I have the same kit and I've been slowly assembling it in between steps on my other model. Great kit so far. Can't wait to see how yours turns out.

You made that poster, or the poster inspired you to start building? Either way, it is a great poster. I love the vintage material the armed forces used to put out.

Progress update #3: I felt like I needed to bring the scene up to the same place - first layers of paint are down and it’s ready for details and weathering. It gives me good ideas how to color the detail work on the tank to really make it stand out in the piece. Or this is my hope.

I really admire the work on this piece, especially the image of the right side of the tank. Your picture really captures a lot of detail. Awesome work!
