Pearl Harbor Trio - Hasegawa boxed-set (Zero, Val, Kate)

As you’ve said, you aren’t a student of PH, so I apologize if I come off as a blowhard and splitting hairs. I’ve been consuming just about everything I could find on the PTO for close to 4 decades, minus some time off for the “Unmemorable Yrs” in the mid/late 80’s… Parsal and Lundstrum have...

Pearl Harbor Trio - Hasegawa boxed-set (Zero, Val, Kate)

IIRC, the D3A Val’s didn’t arrive until the 2nd wave over Pearl( they might’ve been involved in some of the airfield attacks in the 1st wave) when they are best known for going after USS NEVADA, BB-36, trying to sink her in the main channel. The B5N Kate, set up as a level bomber(it was...

Pearl Harbor Trio - Hasegawa boxed-set (Zero, Val, Kate)

In 1/48 scale, Hasegawa(I believe ) offers the same planes, but not as a set. The biggest difference and the reason I jumped to add them in to my Stash, the B5N Nakajima(sp?) Type 97 “Kate” could be purchased as either a torpedo bomber or a level bomber (separate kits). Pretty neat… so I have all 4

Great observation… but why didn’t the MaxxPro roll past a bit more after dumping the Strike Team and more importantly , WHY isn’t the MaDuce manned and pointed in the most likely direction of action, ready to give fire support or fire suppression… ‍♂️

This is the jammie I was referring to in the earlier comment, I don’t remember the name of it, chain ratchet tie down or something like that… ‍♂️‍♂️

    M54 truck

I’m watching this build intently. I have 5 of these kits in the stash. I also have both of the gun trucks which I purchased just to see how much they varied from the resin/pe kits. I have built the M35 A1 and A2 2.5t trucks and yeah, LOTS of small pieces, especially in the suspension. They have...

And your finished scene looks AMAZING, Mr GCB! You’re going to need a bigger display at the rate your going! Not a bad problem to have . Any chance this one or any of the previous ones will be traveling to AMPS Nats at Camp Hero, PA in May or IPMS Nats at Hampton, VA in Aug?

Left pattern. IIRC, the right pattern was deemed ineffective and stricken from use in combat zones… A HUGE boondoggle, sadly. I’m not so sure the urban patterns wouldn’t have worked though, at least in low light conditions. But you can’t expect a soldier to carry multiple BDU’s waiting for the...

Diorama with little bird and humvee

Stunning work, Sir! I only hope to one day be able to build something even 1/8th as nice… I do have 1 question… while I understand wanting the simpler, cleaner look on the Humvee, and I hate to make an assumption(we all know what assume really means ), but I’m guessing the Humvee is the...

Nice work! My stash has all but the JLTV(which I’ve been looking to add, just need to cull one of the 5 M-RAPs to do it…). Are the other 3 previous articles in here? And if so, what should I search them under? If not, do you have more pics of them, I’d love to see the work on those also…

    What is IN your Stash?

Perfect sense Adams is big on using magnets on panels, he did a phenomenal job with them on a full interior Mk V that did well at one of the Nats last yr(I believe it was AMPS at South Bend(?) but I could be mistaken and it might’ve been IPMS in Wisconsin(?) )… Either way, I’m confident Robbie...

    What is IN your Stash?

I also have the RFM M1A1/A2 w/ full int and ordered a seperate int because no matter how I try to figure a way to build it, so much of it will still be hidden. I’m just going to build the seperate int as a stand alone that I’m back and forth on mounting to the same base or as a seperate base…...

These RFM kits are AMAZING! We just did a group build for TMIP of the RFM 1/48 M-ATV MRAP. The detail was OFF THE CHAIN!!! And the work some of the guys did, it was stunning! I have the 1/35 in my stash and have been wanting to add this kit(I’m a sucka for a pickup truck!). I’ll probably be...
