Well I was never a Tankie but from an Infantryman's POV.
Yes, tracks would come off for a variety of reasons. The trick was getting them back on in a hurry. If it could be done immediately everyone pitched in. The common wisdom was that everyone's bums were in danger so just get on...
Now that's Class! Beautiful builds and the "Sackville" is just really magic. Did my trade as a Marine Engineer as a young man so old ships really get me every time. Would love to see some more pics of that please. 8)
12 guage is better! Speaks louder to the crowd!
Use a lot of spray cans and salvage the ball bearings out of them. They work a treat as well...........
Future is just excellent! Brilliant stuff. Also used when the model is finished up to the decal stage for an overall sealant. Then decals then Matt finish etc.
Another trick I have used to great effect (don't worry we all duff up canopies) is a cotton bud and some Mothers Mag & Alloy...

Interesting project of one of the vehicles to be used in Gaspunkwars. 1/18 scale. Total scratchbuild.
The vehicle would have hydraulic motors in the hubs and hydraulic joints. The engine and hydraulic pumps is in the rear section of the vehicle. Driver and weapons in the front one...
Thanks Guys.
All scratchbuilt with donor parts and actually the minimum of putty. Not that I don't like the stuff. More that I enjoy the challenge of using the absolute minimum. :)

Just saw it. Great fun. Have to go back to have another look at all the stuff happening in the background. Some gloriously daft bits in it but still great entertainment all the same. 8)
