Hey all, I haven't been around in a while. Been working on this for a while now. Here's a few pics of the freshly finished product taken Friday evening at about 10:45pm, the night before the Shearwater hobby show. Once I get a chance im gonna snap some better pics.

Charlie, that is such a great build - a large. If you get a chance to snap some pics against a solid background, please do. Love to see more of this.

Thanks, will do Scott. I was planning on taking a bunch of better pictures. I need to find a large enough backdrop...lol.

I have a few touch-ups to do first, I had to cut a few corners to get this done Friday evening. Then it survived the trip to Dartmouth and back to Moncton without any incident but when I pulled it out of the box to show to my g/f who hadn't seen the finished model yet, I accidently knocked a missile loose. So I have to fix that too.

Cool, it will be worth the wait. This is an awesome beast of a kit and you finished it with pro skills.

Charlie, any chance on getting some clean background pics of this for the gallery?

Yes, I plan on taking some better quality pics one of these days and was hoping to send in some pics for the gallery. I need to find a decent backdrop.

Thanks.

That would be great. Big piece of poster board (bristol board) would do the trick. Actually on second thought, maybe 2.

It came out very, very nice. ;D

This is what I do for pictures on eBay:

Two pieces of foam project board. Taped together at the seam. I have two desk lamps with 15w LED bulbs to chase off shadows. Works great. The problem is finding those LED bulbs. I wouldn't use a CF bulb. They do funny things to the white balance of your photo. Good old incandescent bulbs work great too.

Or just take it outside on a sunny day. Make sure the sun is behind you, or overhead.

Thanks Guys... Here is a few more pictures, these were taken for an article which was shown at www.arcair.com on Canada Day, July 1st, 2010. I have also been toying with the idea of sending some pics to FSM for thier Reader Gallery.

Hey there Charlie,

I would send it in....if they would print mine, surely they would print yours....

And they pay for it as well! Least they did when I sent mine in. Took about 6 months before it got in the magazine, but I think I got a $35 cheque for my troubles!
