I use oils for most of my weathering. On this particular model I experimented with acrylics in the same colors as my oils in an attempt to reduce the paint odors and to keep parts from dissolving and breaking from the mineral spirits. However, the acrylics seemed to go on dark but dry very light whereas the oils are the opposite. I am much more used to the behaviour of oils, but for the initial washes I may stick with the acrylics.
 
Very nice work on the Hintern, looks like it's definitely seen some better days! The transition from nicely painted vehicle to rusting out finish is particularly impressive.
 
That's really cool. Stellar job !
Is that representative of an actual tank ? does it have front AND rear drive axles ?

I know the undercarraige is similar to the Elefant and Tiger [P], both of which I have built. But I still don't know if both the front and rear sprockets provide drive power. Maybe someone here can answer??
