This stuff is dirt cheap on Amazon, 2 large tubes, sticks like concrete, fine stringing now and again
but not a problem

Amazon again, cheap, used for a trailer that I made, there's two diecast JCB diggers for the load
and I made up the crane from the Italeri truck accessories kit to fit on the front of the trailer, no chain
included so I ordered the above and this....

Looks amazing !! Will post pic when all done

Another thing I've found useful is A4 transparent sticker paper, I've a curtain sider trailer already made up
and hated the waterslide transfers that came with it, so just for a laugh I downloaded some images of the
Pirates of the Caribbean films and I'm made a "Jack Sparrow transport" theme with the images on Microsoft word
Me and waterslide don't see eye to eye, I always balls them up in some way, I find stickers work for me better

Here's a couple of the images

yup, yup and yup... for big parts and in some situations, especially with my attempts at scratch building, holding odd assortments of materials together.

A4 transparent sticker paper

hmm, have only had limited success with printing to DIY decal paper (opaque and clear)... never thought of this, especially when thickness is no issue.
Have you had luck in 'fixing' the ink image to the receiver?
DIY is great for unusual stuff that just just doesn't exist commercially.
