I just finished the Abrams-X tech demonstrator this morning. It's a fantastic kit EXCEPT for the tracks. The tracks are needlessly complicated, fiddly, fragile, and would test one's patience to the nth degree. I tried to substitute other tracks like Def Model, Trumpeter, Bronco and AFV Club, but none of those would mesh with the kit sprockets, so you'd have to swap out sprockets as well. Other than the tracks, it builds up fast. I started this sometime in June I think, so for me this was super quick.

I confess I did not know what an Abrams-X was. Saw Abrams in the title, and as I was looking at the pics I thought I misread Merkava, but it is clearly not Israeli.

Cool subject matter, and I am working through AFV Club tracks myself. Do a few links per day when I'm in a good mod and that changes quickly

I'm the same way with tracks that you really have to build up. Either a few links per day, or I put on my headphones and some music and just sit at the table plugging away.
