Quick little build I did of a couple of Bandai's little 1/144 scale X-wing fighters
My plan was to build them mostly stock, but swap the markings between the two planes, basically putting the orange markings omn the white one and the blue markings on the black one
The white X-wing sprue
The black X-wing sprue
The two sets of markings-In this case, stickers, instead of the more traditional waterslide markings
Wing assemblies finished with markings in place
Went in and painted the inner wing engine details on both planes in steel, as well as painting the exhausts
Went in and painted the instrument deck behind the cockpit on both ships in steel as well, along with the back detail piece.
To help bring out the details, I gave the white one a black wash.
While the stiockers do adhere to the details faiorly well, they are a lot less forgiving in placement. Basically, you get one try to get it right.
