Okay just a follow up. Decided to just try that chipping fluid on the cowl. I could have swore you weren't supposed to thin it but that turned out to be something else I was thinking of because it would not spray out of the airbrush. So I took a chance and used Mr color leveling thinner to thin it and that worked out excellent so I gave the nose two coats and let it dry probably took 10 minutes. Remember I'm in Phoenix. So I went to clean my airbrush with lacquer thinner as usual and holy moly that stuff turned to a stringy glue. Lesson learned. So then I sprayed it with flat black xf1 and here's a couple pictures I started chipping and it's working out great and I'm probably way overdoing it
