I wouldn't know, the instructions for the Type 3 were discarded after I finished the kit. The Type 3 has a three colour scheme though, and is at the other end of the war from the Type 92. I have never tried Mr Hobby, I just never find good matches for Humbrol for it, that's why I have developed a dislike for Mr Hobby
