It's an acrylic lacquer, which most people call just "lacquer" paint. Don't confuse it with Mr. Hobby Aqueous, which is an alcohol-based acrylic from the same manufacturer, or with Mr. Hobby Acrysion, which is some kind of weird hybrid, I think.
