Hello,

My name is Zulu and I'm a tattoo artist in Los Angeles...my shop is Zulu Tattoo.
I haven't built a scale model since I was a kid and have a strong desire to get back into it.
Being a tattoo artist; I'm used to doing fine detail work and think this will be an awesome hobby.
I'm starting from scratch and will need to buy tools so I guess I'll search the forum for things a noob will need.
I'm a huge Star Trek fan and Sci-Fi in general.
I've got my eye on purchasing the Revell Germany 1/600 Star Trek USS Enterprise NCC-1701 & Klingon Battle Cruiser D7.
I'm really curious about lighting models so I'll have to do a lot of searching on how-to's.
I'm looking forward to learning!

Hi there and welcome :D

I can recommend getting into airbrushing if you are a tattoo artist, as you might enjoy that :) And it'll help you get smooth finishes on your ships ;)

I just purchased my first kit; the AMT665 Star Trek Romulan Bird of Prey.
I thought it best to start with something not too complex and I've seen a few vid builds of this one to help me along.
