Gundam Astray Unicorn (kitbash 1/144)

I don't build only Starships, I'm also a robot fan...

Here is a simple Kitbash I made from a FG (Fist Grade) Gundam Astray, I named "Astray Unicorn" since it has a unicorn like "V fin". I added details, panels with a L-Gaim kit, and other gundams. The painting scheme is inspired by the TITANS in Zeta Gundam.

Here it is, with the packaging for comparison.

The weapon is from another Gundam, the Heavy Arms from Wing Gundam, attached to his original Shield. The amunition belt is made with a simple tank track 1/72.

Looks interesting. Wish the photos were a little sharper though. Try taking it outside on an overcast day (best free light for photographing models).

Simply can't do that for the moment...
Used to do it with bigger models, opening the windows and all... But not anymore. Afraid of hights since last year, after saving one of my neighbor from falling (11th floor). Silly, since I almost lived all my life near a balcony, 10th floor, but can't even put a foot on it now.

Anyway, I have to take good pictures of all my finished models, with proper lighting and all... Not now, but later, maybe during an exhibition.

It was at the "Mondial du modelisme" in June.


I gathered some models to show how simple can be a modified and painted kit... I put my Gundam kitbashed in a Mechanical chain base diorama. Some "simple" lights and "voila"...

This ones are definitely my favorites since they are cheaper, and easier to modify than the bigger Gundams.

I've got several to finish, the odd part is that I really don't know how to proceed with one of them. WIll post and show you that, any advice would be appreciated.
