Just joined a couple of days ago. Looking for inspiration and to admire others work.
Been a modeller, off and on , for probably 50 years.
Christ on a bike am I that old?!!

Always preferred WW2 German vehicles and armour. With the occasional foray into British and even Russian. Actually, just thinking, I finished a Star Wars at-at Walker, so yes I suppose I'll have a bash at most things really. :p

Current project is a group of German 1/35 scale figures. But I've never been great at figures, and always try to give them a body swerve. But was bought a couple Tamiya sets for birthday so need to give them a bash.

Anyway, hello!

Welcome to the Herd, LM! Yeah, as far as figures go, just keep practicing. I tell modelers who say they don't know how, or are even a little afraid, that they already have the basic skills. They just need to practice.
Tamiya's newer figures are very good to use, too. Tamiya now uses digital sculpting, based on photos of live models in the relevant gear, to produce the masters for their figures. They are almost like resin casts in the quality and crispness of the casting.
I look forward to seeing your work!
Best regards,
Brad

Hey! A second welcome!
Figures...
To quote that quaint, brit boyband... "you don't always get what you want, but what you need"
Figures...
Yup, like @the Baron said, practice!
I've a bunch of north africa campaign Italians and colonials on the bench of varying quality, more than I can use, but that means I can just go at it!
No messing up, just learning!

Hi and welcome to the forum. My preferred building is German armour but like yourself I have swerved a few times into other territory and surprised myself how much I enjoyed the break from wheels and tracks.

Post plenty of photos as you go. Pantherman
