I just finished my first Hobby Boss armor kit, a VK1602 Leopard straight from the box. It's sorta like 'Honey, I shrunk the Panther'.
Torsion bars! Unfortunately, the workable suspension is negated by glue together individual track links.
Before weathering:
After my usual excessive and unreasonable weathering:
As I explore the more 'esoteric' manufacturers (Hobby Boss, Meng, RPM, Panda Hobby, Bronco, Lion Roar, etc.) I am coming to understand what people here mean when they say some kits are 'over engineered'. Still, its fun and exciting to see such unique variants like this vehicle being released as models. I have some more oddball 1/35 armor in the works and will post photos later.
