So here is my first attempt at an armor kit. I've been wanting to try my hand at this and finally did. I have to say this kit was awesome. Everything about it. All the parts fit well together and there was minimal flash on them. It was just a blast to build. I also really enjoyed the weathering. Im a total noob at it and learned what I know from youtube videos but I had fun doing it and am happy with the results. I have to say I am hooked on armor kits now for sure and cant wait to start a new one so I can learn some more weathering techniques.

If you build the Abrams next I'll build the Merkava next. Deal? hahaha
Its on my list but I already started Tamiya's M60A1. I also want to order the TUSK II kit for the Abrams. Seeing the pics of your build is making me really anxious to start it early though lol.

Super Job! Great finish. The hanging chain and balls look really good, they couldn't have been easy to place.

Thanks a lot! No the chain and ball parts really tested my patience. When I ordered the kit I also ordered Verlinden's 1/35 tow chain thinking I would use it in a diorama of some sort but I ended up using that for the kit instead of the chain they give you. I would recommend this for anyone building this kit. The Verlinden chain links are slightly larger and much more workable than what is supplied with the kit. I think for me that made all the difference but it still took about 10 hours or so to do that.

Least it isn't the crappy plastic chain, with the 2 part ball on the end of the chain like the Academy kits are.

Got one of these on the shelf....very nicely detailed kit, thanks for showing us yours...very nice!

Sigh....guess I'll be seeing you soon. LOL

Thanks everyone for the comments and encouragement. Definitely go pick this kit up if you were thinking about it.

. Nice Beast! Been looking at them in my LHS but never took one home! Maybe I need to change that?

Great job!
Thanks! Your M1A1 SEP was one of the reasons I wanted to try my hand at armor. That is an amazing model.
