Just finished a quick OOB initial build of Italeri's Demag D7 w/ Pak 38 AA halftrack as I continue to explore the smaller size open back vehicles. In stark contrast to the RPM Beobachtungswagen and Panda Hobby Tunguska, this kit assembled VERY nicely and all the parts had a very precise fit. Wonderful! As usual, I goofed up on one step but hopefully its not too noticeable. Painting is next, just have to decide on the color(s).

THat's almost worthy of display in its own right! Beautiful build so far!

Really nice build, cool kit.

I agree that in some of the shots the barrel does look a little bent?

Thanks for all your comments!

Great lookin Old Halftrack!

Yes, its bent alright. It's broken off twice already and its straighter now. But I might pop it off again, file it slightly and give it another try.

I have finished giving it a camouflage job of German Yellow and Field Grey. Then I will reassemble and do some detailing and shoot another series of pics to post in a few days.

Finished with initial painting and detailing. The kit has a very small and minimal decal set, mostly for the license plates which I haven't done yet. Wondering if I should put some crosses on the armored doors or not. Thoughts??

Fear not! Weathering comes next and everything will look rusty, crusty and filthy as usual when its all over. (BTW, I used a metallic grey but it shows up like silver in the photos for some reason).
