Great looking build, G.Thanks... and enjoyed building this kit! for a reasonable price, you get something to work with and can probably customize a lot more.
Question for you all: how do you paint the mirrors? I used "Liquid Chrome" and acceptable, but there should be better ways.
Thought about aluminium foil, but difficult to have a clear round cut.
Maybe there is another thread on this subject but could not find.
Thanks Jakko.. I thought about using punch and die set, however, some mirrors are not even circular.... and as you said, a bit expensive solution.I generally paint them with the brightest silver-type paint I have. If you want to make neat, round bits of aluminium foil (or other material), a punch-and-die set is a lifesaver, but it'd be a rather big expense just to make the occasional mirror.
Appreciate... and will try the Bare Meta Foil on next model and see how it goes. ThanksGreat looking build, G.
Extremely cool kit.
You could try Bare Meta Foil, for the mirrors.
If there is any raised ridge around the outside of the mirror itself, burnishing the foil will actually cut it and you'll be able to peel the excess outer 'waste' off, leaving the reflective in place.
Can also be used as a masking agent.
IDK, $10.00 USD/sheet.
