Bonjour!

Started this today as a quick " in betweener " . Stole it from my sons stash, it was a kit he won last year at a show.

It's a pretty old kit, but not too bad a bit of flash and the odd injector pin mark. Not much detail too speak of in the cockpit. The instructions called for weight in the nose, I hope I used enough.... :-\

Completed most of the major construction, you could drive a truck through the gaps in the wing root, but a little filler should fix that. A mix of raised and recessed panel lines that should work well with a little preshading and a wash.

Hope to get the gaps sorted and primer on it tomorrow. Still unsure of what paint scheme I will use, the box art doesn't inspire me too much.... Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks for looking :)

Mixed up my own colour of tamiya blue with German grey and a couple of drops of red. Got the base coat on added a few drops of white and did a bit of streaking. Like the look of it, should come up nice with a clear coat.

Gotta find some king of full gloss coat, because I'm not liking the look of the decals very old and fragile looking... :-\

Busy day at the bench, managed a trip to the beach with the kids in between , now it's time to settle in with a couple of beers and watch the cricket.

Thanks for looking and happy Australia Day for all you Aussies ! ;D

Happy Australia Day to you from another Commonwealth member. :)

The Etenard looks great Rookie. Nice job.

Used Tamiya gloss coat through my airbrush, think I,ve finally found a good medium for applying decals. I was worried by the look of the decal sheet, but these went on perfectly better than anything I've done before. Need to give it a pin wash then a dull coat.

Thanks T , hope to knock it over this weekend. Might even start another " inbetweener" whilst I'm building the Lanc , need to keep the motivation going ;D it's always good to see a finished product and I got a ways to go with the big bird !

Nearly done, landing gear and weaponry attached , also sprayed it with a flat clear coat. The whit missile looks a little too white need to tone it down a bit with a wash.

Thanks for the comments, was a fun build. Tried a few different things with this which I can now put to use on future builds.
