Description
Built this kit pretty much out of box, there were only a few minor details that I felt needed improvement such as re-sculpted joints on the power suit, re-sculpted headrest on the interior of the power suit, and a scratch built gear stick made with brass and aves. This kit build up very nicely with very little fit issues, the trickiest part was probably lining up the landing gears while trying the attach the lower and upper hull halves and figuring out which parts to paint separately. The most tedious aspects of this build would have to be all the seams, mold lines, and visible sink holes on just about every part, which makes for a lot of clean up work. The power suit, main hull, and landing gears were painted with Tamiya acrylics. The lower engine components were painted with various shades of Model Master metalizers and enamels. The weathering was accomplished with various AK interactive products such as chipping fluid, fuel, and oil stains. A few different washes were applied made with MIG pigments, mostly African earth and light dust. I also used some Pro Modeller dark weathering wash. The whole thing was sealed off with a few coats of Testors dull coat.
