Mr Mark setter cutting decal

Hi, this video shows him cutting his decal when using Mr. Mark Setter on a plane wing, this seems strange to actually cut it. Is this lagit?

Yes it's legit. I've never done that and it will take great care to do it, but as you saw it does work.

Here's an example where I had to cut a decal to lay it down. On the left wing of this Spitfire, in the middle of the roundel, there is an area that is raised. The decal tented over that area and I had to carefully cut the decal and lay it together with solution to rejoin it so it would go down. I only do that stuff when absolutely necessary.
