My figure entry: 200mm Bust Roman Legionnaire

Here is my first entry: a 200mm Bust Roman Legionnaire.

I won that kit in a past SMA big spring contest and it will be a pleasure to build and paint it for that contest! 8)

Here is what I've done so far.

I prepared the parts for painting and went for a first coat of valejo flat black primer on almost every parts except the head.

This one got a white valejo primer.

After that I started the clothes with a black red (Tamyia X-7 + Tamyia X-1):

I will next follow with the red tones, and after that start the metal colors.
Same way for the head: I will first make the paint of the face, then the helmet.

Oh it has been a long time!

Time for an update! Thanks for your comments guys!

So you asked for metal work... here it is:

The red places are done. Then started the metal work using tamiya silver PC-12.
I slowly added some blue to the silver to increase the metal look.
The paint has been drybrushed:

After that, I added the leather painting, then the golden details.
Finaly I made a little black wash:
