I am looking in investing on an airbrush compressor. My choice is Iwata Power Jet V.S Iwata Power Jet PRO.

From my understanding the difference between iwata Power Jet is that it has a bigger air tank storage.

My dilemma is that the Iwata power Jet PRO has more gadgets on it, like DUAL Adjustable pressure regulators, DUAL Moisture filters. Which the Power Jet dose not.

Anyway just looking for advice on which of them is better to get. And if you actually do own one, what are your thoughts on this particular compressor?

I own the power jet pro. It is more expensive than the power jet, but it does have the dual outputs. While I have NOT used those two outputs. I do see the time when it will happen. For example, instead of adjusting the pressure regulator all the time, just set one at 15 PSI and the other one at 20 PSI and then just move the air brush back and forth between them.

Thanks Grendels for your input! That is actually a pretty smart idea. I do have 2 air brushes and i guies i can use the 2, for faster changes in color paint. It is very strange that PRO cost more for you. At my local hobby store the Iwata Power Jet Pro actually costs less. Its also smaller from my understanding.

Iwata Power Jet Pro Studio Compressor = $469.95
Iwata Power Jet Compressor = $579.95

Are we talking about the same one? If you have time can you please double check. Here is the link to the compressor in question.

Also just a question how many years have you had that compressor and is there anything negative to say about it?

It is the same compressor. I got mine back in October, and have used it quire a bit recently. For example, yesterday I did a three hour paint session.

IT works very well. Didn't over heat at all with that extended session. A cheaper compressor would have dine that for me. (That is how I burned up my previous compressor.)

And you hit why I got the pro model. The power jet was more expensive.

I am aware it,s not the best but gotta start somewhere and got kids and dogs to feed :p

Nothing wrong with using a garage compressor, you just usually have to find fittings for it to get it down to airbrush hose size, and they are usually freaking loud as compared to hobby compressors.

That one you are showing however definitely isn't a garage compressor.

I should re-read myself more, it does sound like i meant that huh...that one is actually the one i decided to order after debating between that or the Princess Auto el-cheapo compressor, I wanted to stick to budget so couldn't order a nicer one right away...later maybe :)
