Had the chance to airbrush my first model, I am happy with it. Used Model Master Acryl Steel mixed with Gold. A little too shiny then what I expected but I am happy with it.

Here it is masked in preparation for some of the gold/copper for parts of the saucer and nacelle. First tiem using liquid mask, so it looks like I will need to add anoter coat for the top of the saucer and engien ancelle.

I am going to be lookinginto getting Acreation Models Decals for this model. The one I was using earlier didn't come out right, scaled too small.

It's a shame that you have to run a search for your own threads for a build! ;D
I wanted to take a break from my MF build since it was giving me a headache so I went back to work on my Enterprise build. had the chance to pick up Acreation's decals for the aztec. Very satisfied with it. Somewhat ahrd to see due to the color I used for the base colro, ecspecially on the engines, but I am happy with it overall. This is after about two day's worth fo work for about an hour each. Just a couple more decals to do, then I will glosscote and apply the decals that cane with the kit.

Enjoy:

She looks great!
I actually prefer the panels subtle like that!
I built and painted one of these several years back. I didn't do any of the "aztec" stuff... I just sprayed it a basic metallic color like yours and then painted various details in varying shades of grey and other metallic colors. Next time I build one, though I will get the aztecs. :) Yours look great!
;D ;D ;D

Finished with the decaling last night. Then the decasl gremlins attacked... lucky only one decal was affected! One of the decals turned about 45 degrees while it was drying with decal setting solution on it, so it is stuck. Luckily it was a decal on the bottom. ;D
Now just I need to add the defelctor dish and some of the other items I left off for painting and to take some pictures. I should be posting them tomorrow. Thanks again for the compliments.

I love this kit. QUick and easy build (one week end) and so much possibilities if you have several of them to try some kitbash thinking. :)

Your's will be a beauty that's for sure. Keep on the good work. :D

Here are the updated pictures. YOULI, you are correct this is a quick kit to build. I believe I spent more time priming and painting the model then actually building it. All of the decals are applied and the dullcote applied. So far it is on the base that came with the model, but I am debating on atatching that base to wooden pase for displaying on my shelf.

Good work. BRavo !

Haven't you forgot the Impulse engines ? Or the blue is not showing of on the pictures maybe... ?

Did not paint it at forst, then when I got going on it, I forgot to do it. Will paint some Tamiya clear blue when I get home tongiht.

Paint it WHITE before painting with clear blue. It will improve the look of it.

Like Youli suggested on the painting it white first.

The rest of the ship is looking very good
