I don't know if this is the best answer, but I post YouTube videos by copying and pasting the URL of the video's page, right into the body of a post.  Also, on the video's page at YT, there is a Share button.  When you click that, there are various links that can be copied and pasted; each will present the video differently, such as embedding it in the post, or as a link that readers can follow which will launch the video in a new browser.
