Putting your paints into dropper bottles?

So I am new to scale modeling and I am currently working with Tamiya paints since I can obtain them from my LHS.

But I love the idea of Vallejo's eye dropper bottles. Especially since I have been doing some brush painting and want to get my dilution more accurate than I can now with a toothpick.

I am wondering how many people have transferred some of their paints from their bottles to the dropper bottles? And if so, where you obtained your bottles.

The best price I have seen so far is at http://shop.perfumersapprentice.com/p-6817-cylinder-bottle-10ml-with-dropper-cap.aspx where a lot of 25-10ml bottles would be $7.75 or $0.31 per bottle. They also have pipettes for transferring the paint.

I figure going to the dropper bottles would work best because I will also be doing airbrushing when I "borrow" my son's airbrush that he uses with his Warhammer 40K miniatures.

Hope you sorted a good supply out.

One other idea if you were to be still looking, is buying some cheap pipettes
for using with Tamiya bottles. I tend to have a few 1 for thinner and several for paints.
Wouldn't it be great if Tamiya decided to re-design thier bottles to the dropper style!

Vallejo actually makes empty bottles in both 35ml and their 17ml dropper top bottle.

I sell them here, 35ml for $1.75 each and 17ml for $0.95 each

I have sold them mostly to people that want to thin out their Vallejo Model Color to airbrush with, but they would work for any paint really.

You could try using s funnel and pouring the paint, but it will just run down the side of the bottle. The easiest way I can think of is to purchase a large glass pipette with a separate bulb which can transfer a lot at once and can be cleaned. You could use disposable pipettes, but it would take forever and you can't easily clean them.
