It's about the German Gepard with the 35mm canon.

What do you all think if I was to use the vallejo Umtarnfarben (German ISAF color set) as the camo paint job on it instead of the bland olive drab colour?

Those are the colours in it:

Scott advised me to get this since it was similar to the AK-Interactive new Afghanistan set that won't get here for close to a month.

TIA :-\

ps: after I'll use weathering on it.

AK colors would be similar so noting wrong with the Vallejo set, as for painting it in these colors, I see noting wrong with it, unless you are into accuracy, So was it ever painted these colors if you not an accuracy nut then do as you please. :) I would do what looks good and what i want

Well, I'm not nutz about accuracy but I still like to have some kind of truth in the way it's painted(english isn't my 1st language, hope it makes sense, ask Scott when he heard me on the phone)

I found some in google images painted is some desert/sand/yellow schemes, 2 or 3 tones, maybe 2 and the 3rd is lot's & lot's of dust.

I think I'll go with my 1st instinct and try the camo scheme that's on the box, unless someone has a better idea, I'm very open to new ideas when they make sense.

Thank you spud ;-)

well if you found pictures with it on it then you should be fine :)

The Gepard never served in Afghanistan, simply because the Taliban have no aircraft, so you likely wouldn't see it in the colors the Germans are using on their vehicles.

That being said, I am sure they have played around with desert camo on them "just in case", so it wouldn't look completely out of place and as you say would be a change from the normal overall green or NATO 3 tone.

I think I'll use your colours Scott and I'll use these Templates to make the new sort of camo, which I just had a brain fart remembering the name. It's a Bradley M2 1/35 behind the 2 sheets
