Hello all,

I had a quick quesiton on something. I am working on a "secret" project. Don't want to post pics till I'm done but I'm having a little difficulty figuring out how to get the right color match. Its going to be a flat black and floresent green color scheme. For the florestent green I was thinking about putting down some chrome silver and painting clear green over that. I was planning on doing a test on an old scrap thingy but I also wanted to see what other people thought about the idea.

Thanks all!

I honestly have no idea...sounds like a good idea...but I think you're right in trying a few experiments first.

Well, as I know, Revells sells floresent green color. Remember that Ghost Ship?? You should ask ECH, maybe he could help.

I don't think clear green is going to cut it. Paint manufactures sell bright greens, especially in the automotive lines. You could even look at model car sites and ask around. I used to know a site that sold paint for model cars matched to the real colors or something you had.

Alrighty, so the eyes in the picture, I want to figure out how to paint that color.... That or the blades...

Yeah, clear green over silver is just going to be basically a metallic/candy green, would still look cool, but not sure what is what you are looking for.

There are a couple of colors in spray cans that might work:

Lime Ice Metallic

None are really a florescent....but about as close as they come with Testors. Vallejo doesn't have anything remotely like it.

Ahh, forgot about those, they have just been re-released. Whole line of fluorescent paints, apparently good if you are a fisherman that paints his own lures as well (so I am told by my salesman!)
