Good Day Folks!

I am looking for recommendations for a "first timer" armor kit. I have never built an armor kit, and was wondering what you all think would be a good first kit.

Thanks in advance,

-Steven

1/35th will be easier because of its size to do and Tamiya kits Do not have a lota parts.

1/48th are very nicly detailed tough

again cant go Wrong with Tamiya no matter the scale or subject

Hi Steve.....Tamiya 1/35 armor would be a great choice indeed, low part count&fast build....then your HOOKED!I might suggest one of the shermans first.

Again for a first time your best bet is Tamiya , ESCI or Italeri. For what you have in mind they all make some Nam era tanks, jeeps APC's and trucks. Older Imperial series Dragon kits are not that bad. Of course it all depends on what you plan on doing and how well your skills are. I take it you are not looking for an easy "build" kit to learn how to glue a model together, but to gain experience in painting and weathering of Mil Vehicles.

No matter what you decide on , there will be enough guys here and on MSC to help you out with any questions etc.

Have fun and looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

I would suggest 1/35 Tamiya. They have a pretty wide range of subjects and the kits are well engineered.
