I have officially given up on the old F-4E kit. The resin tub ended up NOT fitting as I thought it would and it became far too much of a pain to try to modify.
Soooo, on to my next favorite fighter jet, the Eagle. This was added to the stash a couple months ago and it struck my fancy as I was staring at the pile of boxes.
Upon examination, the parts look well molded, virtually zero flash and nice details. Plus, what looks to be incredible exhausts for kits parts. Almost to after market levels. The cock pit details are great. Near perfect match to all the pics I have found. Ejection seat is nice. Shoulder harnesses not bad. Lap be...REALLY? They did not mold the lap belts! LOL
So I ordered the PE set from Eduard along with the remove before flight tags. So I have to wait for that stuff to get here from Czech to finish up the seats. But I can hold off on that for the moment. I got the cock pit together. Still some detail stuff to do. I did the screens green even though thats not really the color they are when they are off.
Next up is the front wheel well which builds onto the underside of the cock pit.
