Hey Model Addicts! Me again. ;D

The past little while I've been super busy at work and home. I haven't had much time to model, but when I do, I've made a commitment to myself to finish up some of my (dreaded) WiP. This was a kit I started last September, and never got around to finish. I bought it mainly for the colourful 25th anniversary scheme. The kit leaves a lot to be desired - both in terms of fit, accuracy, and instructions. I did however, manage to finish it this evening.

I know as a show plane, it probably shouldn't be packing missiles on the wing tip rails. And i also dirtied it up a little more than I should have - I also used the build to test out two different filter technics with my weathering layers. Just experimenting a bit. Man I want to build a bigger, better CF-188 now... ::)

Thanks for taking a look.

Comments, suggestions and questions always welcome.

Jason

Looking good!

Bigger CF-188 you say? Kinetic just released a 1/32 kit. I am told it is the 1/32 Academy kit in the box, but has the options for all makes, A, B, C, and D (so you can make a 2 seater if you want), US markings by Fighertown Decals, Canadian Markings by Canuck Models in Ottawa, Scale AC Conversion metal landing gear.

No idea at this point if it is going to get imported to North America as of yet!

Very tempting Scott - I'll keep that in mind. I might be a while though - my last "care package" (1:32 He 219) became a near crisis - I nearly slept on the downstairs pull-out. ::) Big boxes are hard to conceal...

Nice finish on this one J. Fit issues aren't apparent in the finished product so well done. I think the weathering is perfect, by no means over the top. This thing would be massive in 1/32, I've just started an F16 in 1/48 and its pretty big even in that scale.

Very nice Jason!
From biplanes to modern jet you always get it right it seems, very impressive job!
