Here's my Revell X-Wing . The model's a "quick build" , straight from the box , but I'm pleased with how it's working out . It'll need a little more weathering before I call it finished , but here's how it's looking so far .

It does look good. I agree with you that it can use a bit more weathering...but it looks good.

Good job on this X-wing, as the Y-wing, it's a good way to proove that the Revell Star Wars Line is a good one.

How did you manage to do the weathering ? oil Colors ? Citadel inks/Washes/paints ? Markers ? Pigments ?

The only weathering so far is a light acrylic "sludge wash " ( very thin dark grey with washing up liquid applied and then wiped away before fully dry ) . I plan on using pastel chalks to finish off the weathering . ;)
And yes , the "Easy-Kit" line IS a good one , the problem is that it's marketing and packaging artwork really lets it down . Compare it with the Fine Molds packaging , their quality ( painted) artwork is leagues ahead of Revells shoddy photos . It's no wonder the range is construed as "toys" . ::)

Again, nice work of this not too bad Revell kit. I lost any interest I had in my copy of this model, it did not survive a frustrating crash.
