I'd like to share a custom Sandtrooper Commando I came up with using the old 1/6th Screamin trooper kit and a bunch of spares from old model kits. As you can see it is inspired by the clone airborne trooper. Base is also custom from old parts and a plaster/sand mix for a touch of Tatooine. Painted with Testors enamels, acrylic wash and pastels.

Thanks for the kind words and the welcome. More builds to come.

Wow, looks superb! Looking at your kit, I almost get the feeling I have just interrupted him in the middle of doing something else, and he not particularly interested. Great to see a piece of work that the gives you that real quick pause like that!

Props, you nailed it! Wanted him to look like he just put down his macrobinoculars to look at something or talk to someone.

Thanks for the look and comment.

Welcome to the herd.
Excellent work!
Is the figure really that thin?
In a couple of the pix, it looks really thin.

These guys don't eat well... The body vinyl OOB is pretty flat, needs a good deal of newspaper to fill out. Not as bad as that angle makes it appear.

Thanks for taking a look.

Well done, especially considering it's a vinyl kit. Nicely posed and nicely weathered.

I think that last pic doesn't make him look thin so much as it looks like the head is in a different scale from the body. But it's a trick of the angle, I think. In the photo shot from the back, the proportions are the best. But this is a side topic, doesn't change how good your figure came out.

Some cool modifications on this one.
And the paintjob is really great.
Thinks for sharing this one with us, I've really liked looking through these pics.
