Slave 1 lighting

Hello everyone. I'm a complete newb at lighting, but I would like to give it a shot on the finemolds slave 1. I'm wanting to keep it pretty basic using a few led's and the 4060 timing chip for the engines. I'm looking at purchasing all the needed elements, but I can't quite figure out what capacitor to purchase. I'm looking on Jameco's site, and they seem to have a few of them in the .01uf range. I don't know enough about electronics to choose. Does anyone possibly have any advice?

I really don't think the type of capacitor matters as long as it is NOT an electrolytic capacitor. Those are polarized like an LED and I suspect that they will not work.

I don't think you really want a Tantalum capacitor... they are polarised as well.

Simple 0,01 micro-f ceramic( anything from 100pf upwards), vary the resistor size to establish the base timing and a 470kohm on the clock.
