stash

Hi, Carter,

Well, I keep my stash more or less under the "Just In Time" concept ( ;D ;D ;D ;D) ... so it is a very small stash. Always.

Currently it´s composed by:

Dragon Stug III G Early, 1:35 scale.
StugIIIGEarlyproductionDRG-63201.jpg

Dragon, 1:35 scale.
1stLuftwaffeFieldDiv.jpg

Verlinden German radio team, 1:35 scale.

But there are also some "support" items like Tasca jerrycans, Hornet heads, etc, etc.

I personally do not understand very well the purpose of a large stash (I saw some on Armorama that made me google, you would need three lifes to finish it !! ;D ), but I suppose that it depends on several factors, like budget, or ones personality... :)

Cheers, :)

I currently have a backlog of kits, though no wheres near as bad as a certain hobby shop owner I know who shall remain nameless for now, :p

My stash is currently at about 60 to 70 kits, not sure exactly how many, plus a half dozen more in varying stages of construction. A few of these are on hold at the moment pending payments. And a few others are prizes I am donating to the "On Canadian Wings GB" over at ARC. My rule of thumb is as long as I can afford it at the time and I have room to store it, I can add to the stash. I was at an estate sale over the weekend, the late owner of the car kits for sale must have had a stash numbering in the thousands.

Ok Carter, Here's my list. The ones in bold are under construction. Once a model is finished I remove it from the list. Almost everything you see here was purchased second hand, at a deep discount, or received as a gift. I have less than $400.00 US invested in these 48 kits. I'm always looking for a deal and I obviously find deals faster than I can build them. You can build up a good sized stash with very little money if you are patient. ;D

If that doesn't epitomize the definition of Scale Model Addict....with a stress on the Addict part...I don't know what does.

Don't feel too bad, Carter. Believe me when I say I wouldn't mind seeing mine finished off.

lol im betting he came across the topic on the web, and had to say something.

Here is something very sad. I am at work and can still list off all the kits in my stash! hahaha.

The one's in Bold are the one's that have been started but on hold.

There is also the 88 that is in the W.I.P section.

1/48 Academy CH-53E
1/48 Italeri V-22 Osprey
1/48 Hasegawa F4U-5N
1/48 Hasegawa AV-8B Harrier II Plus
1/48 Tamiya F4U-1A
1/48 Tamiya P-51D Mustang Tuskegee Airmen
1/48 Revel PBY-5A (0A-10A) Catalina
1/35 Trumpeter M1129 Stryker Morter Carrier
1/35 Trumpeter M1132 Stryker ESV with Surface Mine Plow
1/35 Trumpeter M1132 Strker ESV with LWMR Mine Roller/SOB
1/35 Hobby Boss M1070/M1000 HETS Vehicle
1/35 Hobby Boss MK.IIID
1/12 Tamiya Yamaha YZR-M1'04 No.7/No.33

I have to confess, the only reason I can list these off the top of my head is because I just inventoried them yesterday as I organized our on site storage unit etc.

Hmmm, I am seeing the M1070 HET with the ESV Stryker with mine roller on the back in your future! LOL

Remember that Haters gotta hate and you just feed them with these comments.

Just ignore them and they will go away.

Just a small stash that I finally got off the floor. I added the M1114 w/ CROWS II to the second shelf :) Along with some AK stuff.
