Steyr 1500 with Drilling

Don't think I have posted this here yet. This is a kitbash/scratchbuild using a Tamiya Steyr 1500, AFV Club Drilling, and Dragon flak trailer. I used a little artist license for this combo based upon a similar vehicle mounting a 20mm flak. I finished the vehicle in the summer but had been waiting to find my mojo to work on the road and find a decent figure that fit the look I was after. Road is about done and figure needs some surgery.

Do you tint it or apply a layer of paint in the process?

I mixed different colors of brown paint into the clear for the first few layers and then clear layers on top of that. I think it needs a few more.
