Some of you may have seen this before elsewhere on the world wide internet web.
I did a review for IPMS USA web site of the Dragon Stug III G Dec 44 Late Production kit. It was the usual Dragon quality. Nice moldings with inaccurate variant details and missing parts.
I built it OOB except for tweaking a few kit items in addition to replacing the barrel, used magic track, and added the missing schurzen. These modifications bumped it up to an early 45 production vehicle.
Silly me, I should have known the Germans strictly adhered to the January change order and immediately started painted Stugs green. There can be arguments made either way. The model still reeked of thinner and enamel paints but I decided to repaint the Stug up in green. I coated everything with a new coat of gray primer, cleaned up what looked off and hit it with a new coat of Tamiya paints.
This is where I'm at right now. I've been slowly working in the oil paints and letting them cure. Still need to address the tools, add the stowage, foliage, and finish the weathering.
